Like many cities across Canada, Winnipeg is facing a housing crisis. Our growing population is driving demand, but new housing isn’t being built fast enough.

To address this, the City has launched eight targeted actions to speed up development and add more affordable homes. We’re modernizing zoning rules, allowing for more density near major transit routes, and offering incentives to build more housing — including options for those experiencing homelessness.
